Da Barra Refuge

Refúgio da Barra is a day-use beach resort located on the clearest stretch of the Formoso River, about 17 km from downtown Bonito (MS)—approximately a 26-minute drive or motorcycle ride. There are 200 meters of swimming area spread across three charming decks, perfect for a peaceful day of sunbathing and enjoying nature. In front of the restaurant, a 30-meter deck features a pool within the river for children up to 5 years old. The restaurant serves à la carte lunch with options including fish, meat, and light meals.

Swimming Area + Stand-Up Paddleboarding

Departure from the second deck after receiving instruction from the instructor. Paddle ~300 m toward the Sucuri River to observe the flora and fauna. The final stop is ~100 m before the Sucuri River meets the Formoso River (in accordance with environmental regulations). Break for swimming in the clearest stretch of the Formoso River, then return to the deck via the same route. Approximate duration: 30 min. Total distance covered: ~650 m. The rest of the day is free to enjoy the spa decks.
