Buraco Das Araras

Buraco das Araras is an impressive doline—a crater formed by the collapse of a cave ceiling—with a circumference of about 500 m and a depth of 100 m. The 970-meter trail winds around the edge of the formation and leads to two overlooks, from which you can observe scarlet macaws in flight and a lake at the bottom of the sinkhole, a common habitat for a large alligator. A local guide is already included in the birdwatching activity.
